Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships
Mark manages Corporate Tax Incentives' (CTI's) Strategic Partnerships department whose goal is to develop strong, working relationships with our key business partners including local and regional CPA firms, interim CFO firms, and various tax and accounting professionals to deliver excellent client service in the areas of tax credits and other business incentives. Mark provides a full suite of services to Fortune 1000 corporations as well as small to medium-sized private companies.
Prior to his current role, Mark led CTI’s national research and development (R&D) tax credit practice and was involved in all aspects of providing R&D services to his clients, including: conducting high-level R&D tax credit feasibility analyses, managing complex and comprehensive R&D tax credit studies, and defending R&D tax credit claims under IRS and state taxing authority examinations.
Before joining CTI in 2013, Mark served as Tax Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP’s (PwC) Southern California R&D practice. Mark is a frequent contributor and author for national tax trainings and C-Suite conferences, webinars, CalCPA seminars, whitepapers, blogs, and articles explaining the latest legislative updates and developments in the business incentives and tax credit services industry. Mark has over 23 years of tax consulting and accounting firm experience. Mark earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis.
